Assalamu Alaykum,
Thank you so much for reaching out and sharing your dream with us.
Before we look into what you saw, it is comforting to remember the words of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), who said: "Dreams are of three types: glad tidings from Allah, what is on a person’s mind, and frightening dreams from Satan to cause grief. If anyone sees something he dislikes, let him get up and pray, and not speak of it to people" (Sahih Muslim). Understanding this brings clarity and peace of heart whenever an uneasy image appears during sleep.
Looking into the classical understanding of symbols, your dream contains clear, distinct events:
The washroom and trying to wash your hands represent an effort to cleanse oneself, settle an obligation, or seek relief from daily stress. The tap having no water, followed by seeking an unusual source behind a hidden appliance, reflects looking for help, sustenance, or solutions in an uncustomary, hidden, or risky place. Reaching out with your right or index finger signifies action, authority, or personal responsibility. The black snake represents a hidden adversary or a negative influence whose animosity is masked. Because it bit your finger but no blood flowed, this points to experiencing a temporary scare, sharp words, or a minor financial/social setback rather than lasting harm.
The fact that something fell on the black snake and it died without you having to fight it is a very positive sign, Mashallah. It indicates that whatever subtle trouble or spiteful person was hovering around you will be neutralized or removed by circumstances beyond your own effort. Allah will handle them on your behalf, leaving you relieved.
As for the second scene, sitting outside your home with your friend while he sits on an elevated structure points to exposure or a vulnerable public position. The red snake commonly signifies an enemy or temptation driven by passion, quick anger, or outward impulsiveness. Since it bit him and escaped, it reflects that your friend may face a sudden, heated argument or an impulsive quarrel in his own life that leaves him shaken.
My sincere advice to you:
- Make sure to complete your morning and evening adhkar (remembrances) and recite Ayat al-Kursi before sleeping for continuous protection.
- Be cautious and transparent about where you seek solutions or business opportunities, avoiding hidden or doubtful routes.
- Check in gently on your friend, advising him to stay calm and avoid unnecessary arguments or impulsive disagreements with people around him. Also advice him to do Sadqah and offer his Namaz and Darood Shareef on a Daily basis. InshaALLAH his will be saved from all the evils.
May Allah protect both of you from all harm and grant you ease in every affair.
Ameen!
