Assalamu Alaykum! Thank you for asking about your dream.

Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAWW) mentioned in a well-known hadith that dreams are of three kinds: glad tidings from Allah, distress caused by Shaytan to bring sorrow to a person, and the thoughts and concerns that a person has during their waking life. Because dreams can hold important subtle signs, looking at different angles is always worthwhile.

To break it down further, this dream divides into two distinct moments:

First, receiving crisp, brand-new bank money directly from your father is fundamentally a sign of provision, trust (amanah), or a beneficial piece of advice given to you. A father represents protection and strong roots, while pristine money points to an untarnished opportunity or fresh support.

Second, the sudden vanishing of the notes at the exact moment of transaction—leaving you short at the checkout—carries a warning. In the classical tradition:

  • Paying a debt or bill represents clearing obligations or fulfilling responsibilities.
  • Finding yourself abruptly lacking what you were just holding warns of unexpected distraction, wasted time, or a valuable blessing slipping away right when you need it most. It could relate to money, academic/work responsibilities, or even promises made to family.

Because there is a warning of sudden loss and shortfall in this dream, I strongly encourage you to give Sadqa regularly, even a small daily coin or note. The Prophet (SAWW) said that giving charity repels hardship and extinguishes difficulties just as water extinguishes fire.

Alongside this, make it a daily practice to recite Durood Shareef upon our Prophet (SAWW). Sending blessings upon him serves as charity, brings immense tranquility to the heart, and invites Allah’s barakah (divine increase) into your affairs. Keep firm with your daily prayers, and approach any current tasks or trusts in your waking life with extra care and attention.

May Allah safeguard your blessings, replace any worry with peace, and open doors of ease for you!
