I saw a luminous man with a face as bright as the full moon wearing a green turban and white garments. I was told in the dream that this was the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). I wept with joy and held his hand.

Symbols:
Seeing the Prophet (peace be upon him) — Ibn Sirin and all scholars of dream interpretation state: whoever sees the Prophet in a dream has truly seen him, for the devil cannot assume his form. This is the highest category of dream.
White garments and a green turban — represent honour, the Sunnah, and following the Prophet.
Weeping with joy and holding his hand — indicates holding firmly to the Sunnah and divine protection.
Interpretation:
A dream of the greatest significance. The scholars say that seeing the Prophet (peace be upon him) in a dream is a glad tiding of a good end, steadfastness in faith, and adherence to the Sunnah. Imam al-Ghazali taught that whoever sees the Prophet should praise Allah abundantly, send blessings upon the Prophet, and commit to following his way. And Allah knows best.
